May 12, 2024: I had to explain what being arospec is to a girl in Drama and she immediately responded "Oh. Like Alastor Hazb/n H0te/!" I took 5 bajillion psychic damage from that and I don't think I will ever recover. I don't want to be associated with the dude from the cartoon that looks like it was designed by a 13 year old in 2008 Deviantart. Also to my knowledge he's an enslaver??? Who to my knowledge is trailed by symbols from the actual voodoo religion to make him seem "spookier" which is a problem that actual religious iconography is used to create fear.
April 30, 2024: I really want to play Mercutio in the Fall but I think that one of the boys I got to join Drama Club might be able to do a better job with him than I would. :(
April 28, 2024: I went to the Tacoma Glass Museum yesterday as an early birthday thing. It was really cool!!!! The pieces in the BIPOC spotlight exhibit were really pretty. :)
April 17, 2024: I'm so freaking scared for Band Festival next week. I'm also REALLY EXCITED to see my camp friends at Camp Jam this weekend. I'm the most scared that KOSA is going to go into effect while I'm gone and this will be my last blog post, like, ever.
April 11, 2024: I've listened to the Beetlejuice (2019) soundtrack a few times and I REALLY WANT TO PLAY ADAM. What's great is that there's interest in doing it for our 2026 show among the current Sophmores. It's either Beetlejuice or Into the Woods. If we end up doing it and I get cast as Adam then this will be the second musical I play an adult man :).
April 2, 2024: I love Fraggle Rock so much y'all don't even know. This is my biggest thing since Pokemon and that's one of my continual special interests since I was five years old. I started liking Fraggle Rock when I was seven and then forgot about it from 2019-2022. I am legitimately so happy about Back To The Rock because it continues to provide so much happiness and whimsy to my life and so many others. I love these glorified socks okay! (Also happy palindrome date!)
April 1, 2024: General thoughts on BTTR season 2: AADCDEGVNJFSDRRIHFJKHFGKJPISTJHG. All jokes aside, I think the episodes were generally great with good morals. I particularly liked "I'm Pogey!" and "The Great Radish Ball", with the former as a FANTASTIC episode overall, and the latter as a good episode in terms of puppetry and design (Wembley's outfit is a plus on points also :)). I didn't like the songs as much this season. The classic songs weren't incorporated as well as the first season, and I didn't like the new songs as much. "A-OK", "Radishes vs Strawberries", "Push It Down, Fraggle Up", and "Same Page" were fun, but the other new songs weren't as good. Overall, great season! I hope Apple greenlights a third. :)
March 22, 2024: What's really fun about walking to rehearsals for the school musical is that I will practice lines on the way and the few people on the sidewalk will look really confused about why a middle schooler is muttering to themself about how someone named Donna should "stuff the check, it's YOURS. Donna, you were the first girl I loved, but you were also the last girl I loved. There are all kinds of families, aren't there? Yours is you and Sophie, mine is me and Nigel. I'm glad to have a third of Sophie. I never thought I'd have that much of a child."
March 16, 2024: The thing that sucks about living in a small town with a tiny Drama Club is that we can't do any diverse productions since we're all white kids. :(
March 12, 2024: The Addams Family: A New Musical is funsies! Also almost all of the Puppet History songs are amazing, with season six and three with some certified bops.

February 21, 2024: Yesterday I asked a girl her pronouns and she responded he/it but when I said that I wanted to make sure she was comfortable (they get bullied a lot. I go to a middle-of-nowhere school filled with icky people who love picking out queer and alternative kids to bully.) she quietly and happily responded she/they. I hope that made her day a little better. I love you all, transfem people! You don't get enough of it.

February 9, 2024: So my history class is leaning about the U.S. Constitution, right? Standard American middle school curriculum. We started learning about Alexander Hamilton, as he was just a wee bit important to early American history. My teacher decided to back our guided note taking with songs from the musical Hamilton so kids wouldn't be bored out of their mind. He couldn't find live clips of certain songs (The Room Where It Happens and Nonstop) so he settled for the next best thing. WE WATCHED HAMILTON ANIMATICS IN CLASS. ._.
February 2, 2024: My Knowledge Bowl team has won our second meet out of four. We've only had two meets so far.
January 29, 2024: The entire cast of Mamma Mia except Harry and Donna is embodied by the "Wow everyone here is so weird thank god I'm normal." meme. Also Eddie. He gets to be in the exempt category. Like, Donna is aware she is Not Considered Normal, Harry is only REALLY here to prove to his partner that he CAN BE SPONTANEOUS NIGEL, and Eddie has to deal with Pepper.
January 23, 2024: REHERSALS FOR MAMMA MIA START TOMORROW!!!!!!! I can't wait to unleash Middle-Aged Dad Energy with my friend (she's playing Sam) and try to pull off a convincing dynamic with a highschool senior! :D

Thoughts: -Finnegrin's Wake didn't hit as hard as I thought it would -Villads returning is the best thing that ever happened -WAY better pacing than season four -Zubea still doesn't really have a role, but this time she's in less episodes -Aaravos is still one of the best characters and his absence was handled better this time -GO TERRY GO!!! -I would like to see Claudia snap like a twig in a hurricane. Stop, girl, stop. Let me study you like a bug. -Let Viran die doing something objectively good. He will not be remembered as a hero, but he will have finally done something right. -I would like to see Sir Sparklepuff grow up -In season six I would like some more Aaravos backstory.
